Despite mounting regulatory pressure and growing scientific consensus on biodiversity loss, most corporate action remains reactive, fragmented, and strategically peripheral. Existing frameworks address what firms should report rather than how they can build the organizational capabilities required to act strategically. Drawing on interviews with SMEs and cross-disciplinary experts, and following the Gioia methodology, we develop the MCRV framework (Monitoring, Conserving, Restoring, and Valorizing) as a strategic configuration of Dynamic Capabilities for corporate biodiversity integration. Grounded in the Natural Resource-Based View, the framework maps each MCRV component against the sensing, seizing, and transforming dimensions of Dynamic Capabilities: Monitoring as a sensing process through which ecological conditions become strategically legible; Conserving and Restoring as qualitatively distinct expressions of seizing; and Valorizing as a transforming process translating ecological knowledge into new products, services, and business models. MCRV offers scholars a process-oriented account of biodiversity integration and managers a diagnostic instrument for directing strategic investment.
