We demonstrated a visible light communication system based on the `White-Hot Spot' concept, using a commercially available white-phosphorus LED, modulated by an adaptive DMT signal. For a long wireless distance spanning from 1.5 m to 7 m, a record transmission rate was achieved, ranging from 1.2 Gbit/s to 693 Mbit/s, within the Hot-Spot area. The presented results can be useful to design high-speed optical wireless transmission links.

Abstract
We demonstrated a visible light communication system based on the `White-Hot Spot' concept, using a commercially available white-phosphorus LED, modulated by an adaptive DMT signal. For a long wireless distance spanning from 1.5 m to 7 m, a record transmission rate was achieved, ranging from 1.2 Gbit/s to 693 Mbit/s, within the Hot-Spot area. The presented results can be useful to design high-speed optical wireless transmission links.File in questo prodotto:
